Yep !
Never seen anything like that !
I've been feeding fresh fish to some Alaska Great Blue Herons for like 20+ years . . . and they're still extremely wary of me.
Often, together with a sardine, they catch my index finger as well . . . and they pull at it like crazy . . . usually I bleed . . . so they know how I taste.
But being friends?
NO WAY !
Some of them I know personally, due to some peculiarity in their bodies.
